Ashley E. Wofford Leong MD, MPH, IBCLC

Hi! I'm Dr. Wofford, a family physician in the Cary/Apex area of North Carolina. Some of you may already know me, and if we haven't met before, I look forward to the opportunity!

I earned my Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill, and completed residency training in family medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. I worked in private practice in Arizona for a short time before returning to the Tarheel state. Most recently, I worked at Generations Family Practice in Cary, NC.

I enjoy taking care of patients across the life spectrum, especially when I get to take care of the whole family! As my family expanded in the past several years, I found a specific interest in breastfeeding medicine, and love caring for moms and their babies. It is so much fun to watch new parents meet their goals for helping their children grow. Regardless of who you are or where you are in life, I aim to help empower you to make positive, valuable changes for your health.

Currently, I'm taking a short break to do some non-clinical consulting work, but I'm working on plans to return to patient care in the near future. This site is intended as a bridge, a way for me and my patients -- past and future -- to stay connected.
